What Void (Kong Wang) means
Void (Kong Wang), also called the decade void: each ten-day cycle of the sixty pairs ten stems with ten branches, and the two branches left over are that cycle's Void. Traditionally, a pillar in Void means what it stands for is “in name only” or tends to fall through.
It has a positive side too: an auspicious star in Void loses some good, but a harmful star in Void loses some harm. Modern readings also link Void with inner pursuits and detachment from material things.
